Professional Referrals

A Trusted IRS Collection Resource for Your Clients

When a client’s tax problem moves beyond preparation or routine compliance, you do not have to handle it alone.

Lynx Tax Advisors works with attorneys, CPAs, Enrolled Agents, bookkeepers, financial advisors, and other professionals whose clients need focused help with IRS collection matters.

Our role is defined from the beginning: address the tax problem while respecting and protecting the professional relationship already in place.

We are not looking to replace the client’s CPA, attorney, bookkeeper, financial advisor, or other trusted professional. We focus on the work we were engaged to handle and coordinate with the existing advisor when appropriate and authorized by the client.

When a Client May Need Us

Professional referrals commonly involve:

Revenue Officer Assignments

A client has been contacted by an IRS Revenue Officer and needs representation or strategic guidance.

Payroll Tax & TFRP Matters

A business has employment tax liabilities, or an owner, officer, or other individual faces a Trust Fund Recovery Penalty investigation.

Liens, Levies & Collection Action

IRS enforcement is affecting wages, bank accounts, financing, property, or business operations.

Unfiled Returns & Collection Problems

Missing returns are preventing the client from becoming compliant or moving toward a resolution.

Collection Strategy

The client needs an informed review of payment arrangements, Currently Not Collectible status, an Offer in Compromise, or another collection alternative.

How We Work With Referring Professionals

Your relationship stays yours.

We respect the role you already have with the client and the trust you have built.

Our scope is clear.

We define what Lynx Tax Advisors is handling and avoid unnecessarily expanding into work already being performed by another professional.

Specialized support does not mean handing off the client.

Some matters require input outside our scope, such as a tax-law question affecting return preparation or a legal issue requiring an attorney. When appropriate and authorized, we can coordinate that inquiry with the appropriate professional on the client’s behalf and bring the relevant guidance back into our work. The goal is to obtain the expertise the matter requires without unnecessarily adding another point of contact or making the client manage communication between multiple professionals.

Communication is deliberate.

We establish expectations early and coordinate with the referring professional when appropriate and authorized by the client.

Strategy comes before action.

We verify the facts, understand the IRS posture, evaluate realistic options, and then determine the appropriate path forward.

Why Lynx Tax Advisors

Nearly 20 years of IRS experience, including Revenue Officer and supervisory assignments.

That experience informs how we evaluate collection cases, communicate with the IRS, identify procedural issues, and develop practical resolution strategies.

Our approach is straightforward:

Listen first. Verify facts. Build strategy. Execute deliberately. Communicate clearly.

Have a Client You Are Concerned About?

You do not need to know the solution before contacting us.

If a client is facing an IRS collection problem—or you simply want to determine whether the matter is within our scope—we welcome a professional-to-professional conversation.
